Poppy

POPPY is a TORTIE POINT & CREAM SIAMESE with light blue eyes in a cute and colorful little pixie face. She is approximately 1 1/2  years old, spayed, has all her claws, is up to date on vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, dewormed and microchipped. She weighs 7 lbs.

Poppy’s foster mom is totally smitten with this little kitty. Her personality is just as colorful as her lovely face colors. Poppy is a people oriented, confident little feline who wants to be part of the action in the home. She will crawl into her foster mom’s lap for a soft belly rub, and if you are into taking the occasional therapeutic weekend nap, you can count on Poppy snuggling up against you. She is very quick, quite petite, and her foster mom thinks she might have invisible or retractable wings, because she can jump quite some heights. Because of her agility, her foster mom does not think that very young children would understand how quickly such a kitty could escape, but feels that older children who enjoy engaging in some play time with kitties would be great for her.

Poppy is tolerant of other kitties, as long as they give her ample space and introductions are slow and properly managed. She came into foster care with a rather big (compared to her size), but gentle male Siamese and after some initial hissing at him, they are doing very well together. In a multi cat household, she would probably do better with docile male vs. female cats, and she would also be fine as an only kitty. Since her foster home doesn’t have dogs, we don’t know how she would do with a dog but assume a cat friendly, laid back dog would be fine.

Poppy is great with using her litter box. She loves to eat both wet and dry food (with a strong preference for wet food), so we are requesting a home where she will continue to receive wet food. Because she is so people oriented, we feel her best home will be with someone who is home a lot and can give this precious girl the love, affection and attention she needs and deserves.
