As Specialty Purebred Cat Rescue continues to grow (we are now taking in 40+ cats per MONTH) so does its expenses (vet bills of $5000+ per month are usual). This rescue, like any breed rescue anywhere in the country is funded ENTIRELY ON ADOPTION FEES AND DONATIONS. THERE ARE NO GRANTS OR FUNDING FOR THESE TYPES OF PROGRAMS.

People have e-mailed us and asked how they can help. You don't have to open your house as a foster home to aid these critters (though that is always appreciated! But here are some suggestions that will benefit the cats and those foster homes who do care for them.

1). Please educate your friends and families to NEVER BUY CATS (or dogs!) FROM PET STORES or BACKYARD BREEDERS (for more information about what constitutes a GOOD breeder, please see our pages "Picking the Proper Purebred, Parts 1 & 2"). This may seem obvious, but a huge percentage of the cats that come into this rescue originated from bad breeders profitting from the misery of animals. Breeders who care about their cats DO NOT SELL TO PET STORES. Same for dogs of course.

2). Please adopt a cat (or 2!) or refer others to this site who may be looking for something special...we certainly have it!

3). Coupons for specific brands of catfood are ALWAYS APPRECIATED. These would include: Royal Canin Persian Formula and IAMS dry and Friskies canned ONLY. THESE BRANDS ONLY PLEASE. Coupons for clay cat litter are also appreciated. Another option is a gift card from Petco or Petsmart that would go directly to food or litter.

4). Direct donations of food, including HILLS PRESCRIPTION DIET A/D , used for sick/recovering cats. Direct donations of clay cat litter also.

5). TO DONATE DIRECTLY YOU CAN SEND MONEY THROUGH PAYPAL . Just click on the button below and you will be able to send donations directly to our rescue account. Since we are an official 501c3 non-profit, all donations are tax-deductable!
