Maggie

MAGGIE is a large, beautiful LYNX POINT RAGDOLL. She is 6, spayed, and has her claws. She has a clean bill of health, and is up to date on vaccines. She is free fed, but the vet would like to see her food limited so she can lose a few pounds. She comes with her own water fountain and some food and toys.

Maggie came to SPCR when her beloved owner developed medical issues and couldn’t keep her. This was devastating for everyone involved. She is slow to trust new people, so it will take a patient adopter to win over her heart.

It has taken Maggie a while to settle into her foster home, but every day she gets a little more comfortable. She does enjoy getting her head, chin and back scratched. But when she is done, she is done. She will need an adopter who is willing to learn her cat language and understands this. At this time she does not enjoy her tummy to be petted, and she is not a lap cat.

Maggie has great potential to be someone’s bestie given the time and nurturing she needs to be her true, selective Ragdoll self. It’s a wonderful thing to be chosen and loved by a Ragdoll! She would not do well with small kids or dogs. Maggy would most be ok with another easy-going cat (when slowly introduced). She would do best in an experienced cat owner’s home, or with someone willing to learn cat body language and be extremely patient.
