Project Description

LIBBY is a beautiful, loving, BLACK AND WHITE TUXEDO DOMESTIC SHORTHAIR KITTEN.  She is 4 months old, spayed and has all her claws.  When Libby came to SPCR, she had severe eye infections.  Her foster family nursed her for her first month in foster care, but one eye couldn’t be saved.  Libby is now recovered, is missing one eye and has almost no vision in her other eye.  She can see shadows, which helps her, but sometimes scares her if she doesn’t know what is causing the shadow.  Libby needs a special kind of family with a quiet home with not a lot of change.  The family will also need to be patient with her upon adoption, to let her get used to each room of the house, one at a time so she can learn where everything is.  Libby has spent her time with her foster family in one bedroom, and when you first meet her, you won’t know she’s blind as she tears around the room playing, just like every kitten should.  She has a gigantic purr and there’s one spot behind her ear that is her favorite for scratching.  Libby does OK with other respectful, laid-back cats, but it takes a long time to get acquainted.  Libby is a young, resilient little girl that has been through a lot and has shown she has a lot of love to give to just the right family. SPECIAL NEEDS ADOPTION FEE $50. FOSTERED IN GURNEE, IL.
