Project Description

Kenya

Kenya is a BLACK DOMESTIC SHORTHAIR.  She is 5 to 6 months old, spayed and has her claws.  She is around 4 pounds and will be a very lithe and small adult cat as one of her parents is a Siamese.  Kenya was rescued off a farm as a tiny baby when she fell out of a loft onto the barn floor. She is deaf and has a head tilt.  Kenya is fantastic with cats and dogs, but needs to avoid young children or active dogs because she cannot hear them coming and get out of the way.  She loves to play with toys and, despite her neurological issues, she is great at chasing the laser pointer and pouncing wand toys.  Kenya is always around but never goes on the table or counters. She loves her cat tree and sleeping in bed with her foster family.  Kenya can take awhile to adjust to new situations given her deafness and neurological condition, but once she warms up, she is a darling, lovable kitten. ADOPTION FEE $25.  FOSTERED IN GURNEE, IL.
