Project Description

ELEANOR is a soon to be beautiful BLACK PERSIAN with gold eyes. She is spayed.  Eleanor came to SPCR after sitting in a shelter for 3 months. She was completely shaved before she was transferred. Her mats were so severe that most of her hair was pulled out. She is starting to regrow, but it will be a while before her shiny black fur fills in. Eleanor has cataracts in both eyes and really can’t see much. For this reason, she is listed as special needs. Due to being almost blind, she doesn’t seem to be very active and likes to spend her time in her bed. Despite this, she has excellent litter box habits. She enjoys being pet on her head and purrs when you talk to her. Her skin is still a little sensitive,  but she is starting to enjoy the rest of her being pet. She likes to be near her people and she talks. She hasn’t been around other cats in her foster home, but could possibly coexist with another cat or a dog that would leave her alone. Because of her limited sight, she is startled by fast movements, so she not go to a home with young kids. She has her claws and is estimated to be around 7 years old. She is around 6 pounds. She loves wet food and doesn’t seem to touch the dry food. Like most persians, her eyes will require care of daily wiping and when her fur grows back, brushing will be required as well. This sweet girl just wants love! SPECIAL NEEDS ADOPTION FEE $75. FOSTERED IN GREENFIELD, WI.
