Project Description

Capuchin is an 11 year old SEAL POINT SIAMESE. She has her claws and is spayed. Capuchin was surrendered to SPCR when her owners had to move and were not able to keep her.

Capuchin does not know a stranger! This girl will welcome any person who enters our home with nudges, rubs and meows. She prefers to decide whether she is going to plop down on your lap or beside you; being picked up is not her favorite thing. Capuchin’s perch of choice, when she isn’t in her room, is the back of the couch, where she sits and tells us everything she’s thinking.

She is a special needs kitty because she was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, which has been well controlled with a once daily oral medication. Naturally she would skip the pill given the choice, but she is a trooper when it’s time to take it and does not put up a fight, as you can see in the video.

Capuchin is not inclined to socialize with other kitties, but appears to have no problem with the small breed dogs in her foster home. She would likely do well with a gentle, calm dog, cats who don’t need to be her friend (slow introductions, please) and/or respectful children. She would also be content to just be the center of your universe as an only pet. ADOPTION FEE $25. FOSTERED IN NORTH LIBERTY, IN.
