BUTTONS is a beautiful, 9 lb, 8 year-old spayed female CALICO DOMESTIC SHORTHAIR. She has all of her claws and bright green eyes. She has been fully vetted-senior panel (clear!) is up to date on shots, spayed, dental completed along with a few extractions, dewormed, microchipped, and is FeLV/FIV negative. and is ready to go to her forever home.

Buttons came to SPCR after her owner died. So far she has been a quiet kitty, although she does use her voice when she is out of her comfort zone and exploring new surroundings.  Buttons is a very sweet and affectionate kitty and will try to make bread wherever she is.  She is almost constantly purring.

Buttons will take time to feel comfortable in her surroundings and likes to hide under blankets or mats on the floor or in any and all boxes.  She enjoys back and neck scritches as well. She is a relatively quiet and calm cat but does enjoy playing with wand toys.

 She has not been around children in either of her homes, but a home with older children and with a stable routine would be best for her.

Buttons would be fine as an only cat, but she is adaptable to other animals if they are not domineering.  She does well with the resident boxer who also just ignores her.
