CLEOCATRA…is a splendid SILVER EGYPTIAN MAU. She is around 2 years old, spayed and has her claws. She weighs around 7 pounds. Cleo came to us from a local shelter where she had been left as a stray. It seems difficult to believe that a rare breed like this would be wandering around, but breeders we know confirmed her breed for us and this is not the first time by any means that we have received odd breeds with no history! She is an absolutely GORGEOUS cat with the contrasting silver and black markings. She has very intense green eyes that reflect her intelligence and activity. This is a breed similar to Bengals (for more information please go to www.cfa.org and click on “colors and breeds” and then Egyptian Mau) in that it is a BUSY ONE. These are cats that like to be challenged with toys and lots of interaction or they will get bored. Cleo loves toys and loves being picked up and snuggled. She’s a bit of a talker and very much the “people purrson.” She is a bit hissy with other cats but another easy-going young one would probably provide her with a lot of entertainment and a good way to expend energy. She has not been around dogs and older respectful kids would be best.  The best home for her would be experienced with Bengals, Abys or Siamese. Adoption fee $200. FOSTERED IN MADISON, WI.

MOPSis a cute CREAM PERSIAN.  He is neutered, has his claws and just had a dental done.  He weighs around 7 pounds and is around 6 years old. Mops came in as a stray to a local shelter and his coat was just a mess. The mats were cut out by shelter staff and he is good to go but the haircut is not the best right now! This adorable little guy has a medium-care coat and bright gold eyes and handles grooming quite well. His foster mom describes him as a typical Persian sort of personality; calm, sweet natured, easy-going and loves his toys. He is fine with other cats, probably gentle dogs and certainly respectful kids. Adoption fee $150. FOSTERED IN MADISON, WI.

CARSON…is a handsome  SEAL POINT  MITTED RAGDOLL.  He is 9 years old, neutered and 4 paw declawed and weighs around 10 pounds. He is a GORGEOUS kitty, with the stunning blue eyes, 4 white mittens and the black and white nose! Carson lived in the same home all of his life until the family brought home a puppy.  The dog proceeded to terrorize Carson who retreated under a bed and stayed there. That bought him a fast ticket to a local shelter where he had little chance of being adopted due to overcrowding. Fortunately we were notified and Carson is now safe with us waiting for his Forever Home where this will never happen again!  His foster mom describes him as a “purr machine”…a kitty who loves attention and affection and seeks it out with gusto. He LOVES being pet, picked up and brushed and gets along very well with other cats. We think he was around older children in his previous home and he is so mild-mannered that respectful kids would be fine. NO DOGS PLEASE.  He has been thoroughly vetted and is a healthy 9 years and could have another decade of love to give! Mature adoption fee $100. FOSTERED IN WHITEWATER,   WI.

TONKA… is beautiful BLUE & WHITE BICOLOAR PERSIAN. He is neutered, front declawed and weighs around 13 pounds. Tonka is about 8 years old and was surrendered due to owner allergies.   Being a reserved, mature gentlemen who quite prefers that everything remain as it always has been, this drastic change in circumstance was very depressing to him.  He has since settled into foster care, but is waiting for his permanent home so he can be truly comfortable again.  Tonka knows his own mind and has no trouble expressing his preferences.  He likes fish, scratches on the head, window perches and sitting quietly on the couch next to his human.  He does not care for dogs, other cats or to many changes in his life. :)   He really prefers women and is fully vetted and is in good health.  He requires a quality, grain-free diet (like Wellness Core) to feel his best.  He has a beautiful full coat that is remarkably easy to care for.  Tonka’s eyes are a striking orange color and are amazingly expressive.  He is reserved when approaching new situations, but once he settles in, he is very friendly and playful.  He would be best as an only cat.  Older respectful children would be fine.  Mature adoption fee $80.  FOSTERED IN MAZOMANIE, WI.

LILLY… is a lovely BROWN TABBY AND WHITE PERSIAN MIX.  She is around 3 years old,  spayed, front-declawed and weighs around 8 pounds. She has a very easy, silky coat that is a breeze to maintain, beautiful open face and bright green eyes. Lilly came to us from a home where she was very loved and cared for but family allergies forced her and a sister into rescue. She has been doing extremely well in a multi-cat fostering environment and is the official “meeter and greeter” of the foster room! This is a SUPER NICE kitty! Not only does she have the looks but the friendly, social personality that would do well in just about any household! She is mild-mannered, very affectionate, somewhat playful and just a joy to be around. She’s good with respectful kids and would be an excellent cat for someone new to cats or “Persian types.” As far as we are concerned, she is JUST PURRFECT! Mixed breed adoption fee $100. FOSTERED IN RACINE, WI.

COLONEL…is a busy BLACK AND WHITE MUNCHKIN. He is 5 years old, neutered and has his claws (and uses a post quite well by the way!). He has a short, easy coat with nice markings and VIBRANT green eyes!  Colonel came to us with his daughter, CLEO (see below) from a hoarder raid in Minnesota. He is doing very well in foster care and is certainly enjoying the attention! His short legs certainly do not handicap him in any way! He gets about just as well as the big boys do and is an athletic, busy guy. Colonel is a very self-confident, dominant cat who is outgoing, friendly and knows his own mind. He likes to flop on his side for head and tummy rubs and doesn’t mind being carried around and fussed over. He would probably be ok with another easy-going cat, and would be fine with dogs. An adult, cat-experienced home would be best. Adoption fee $150. FOSTERED IN MADISON, WI.

CLEO…is a sweet BLACK AND WHITE MUNCHKIN KITTEN. She is 5 months old, spayed, has her claws,  and, like her daddy COLONEL (above), she has has an easy short coat with lovely constrasting markings. She has bright gold eyes and weighs around 6 pounds. Like her dad she is a VERY sweet cat, but she is more timid than he is and will need a home that will be patient and let her get used to new things on her own time. In foster care she has done well and is quite affectionate with her caregiver. Remember she came from a pretty bad hoarding situation so being in a clean, safe place is quite a change! Cleo gets along fine with other easy-going cats that will not bully her. The best home would be adult, quiet and cat experienced. Kitten adoption fee $200. FOSTERED IN MADISON, WI.

DEXTER…is a handsome SEAL POINT SIAMESE. He is 8 years old, neutered, weighs 9 pounds and has his claws. Dexter is very dapper with his elegant white chest spot over his medium and deep chocolate coloring.  He’s slightly shy in new places, but once he adjusts, he is very friendly and loving but is not clingy and can do his own thing if people have other stuff to do! Dexter is not talkative and is pretty calm and collected.   He’s a good sized boy, but not at all overweight…just structurally BIG.   He loves to sit on the window ledge and look out.   He is currently in a multi-cat foster home and does fine with all of them. He would probably be fine with dogs and respectful kids. This is a very healthy cat who easily has another DECADE of love to give! Mature adoption fee $80. FOSTERED IN RACINE, WI.

ADOPTED!

I went home to Madison!

LEO…is a gorgeous LYNXPOINT SIAMESE KITTEN. He is 16 weeks old, neutered, has his claws and is currently around 4 pounds. He has beautiful markings and cool little tufts at the tips of his ears. And of course the vivid blue eyes! Leo was adopted from a local shelter to someone who had absolutely no idea how to take care of a cat and Leo was soon bounced back to the facility to be put down because the owner was tired of the kitten.  Obviously this wasn’t going to happen with us around! He is now in foster care and doing extremely well. Leo is a typical friendly, happy little guy who just needs a good home with a family who will take proper care of him and maybe provide another young kitty for him to play with! He is great with other cats and is affectionate and very busy. His colors are going to deepen and get richer as he gets older and he’s going to be one STUNNING BOY!    Kitten adoption fee $200. FOSTERED IN MADISON, WI.

BUTTERFLY…is a lovely BLUE CREAM POINT SIAMESE. She is around 1 years old, spayed and has her claws. She has an easy, short coat and her markings are an unusual gray with peachy accents and she has very pale blue eyes. She weighs around 6 pounds. It is really pretty unusual that we get in a Siamese with these colors so Butterfly is something special!  Butterfly came to us from a local shelter with no story other than the all too common “not wanted” on her paperwork. Like her namesake, Butterfly is a petite, active little purrson, usually found flitting after her foster mom hoping for some attention and love!  She is a bit on the shy side at first but has warmed considerably with our TLC and is just delightful. She is NOT talkative, but always wants to be where you are. She is playful, moderately active and would really be a gem for a family looking for a quiet companion. Butterfly is fine with other cats and would do best in a quiet adult home with no dogs or small kids. Adoption fee $150. FOSTERED IN RACINE, WI.

ADOPTED!

I went home to Des Plaines, Il.!

STORMYis a delightful SEAL POINT SIAMESE. She is 2 years old, spayed, has her claws and weighs 7 pounds. She has an easy, dark chocolate coat and bright blue eyes (which you don’t see too well in this picture because she didn’t like the camera flash. Watch her video below and you will see them!).  The director of this rescue found Stormy huddled in the back of a cage in a local animal control when she was doing a walk-through. Stormy was covered with about 8 kittens, all old enough to go home, but all mixed breeds. The kittens had a good shot at being placed but Stormy was thin and rough-looking from having to support so many of them and there were just too many cats everywhere. Her cheerful disposition convinced the director that there was someone out there who would really enjoy this little girl so she was lucky enough to make the cut for rescue. Several weeks, lots of good food and a spay later, Stormy REALLY REALLY WANTS TO GO HOME. She is a very outgoing, happy little cat who seems relieved to be over the whole “motherhood” bit and wants a human family of her own! She is playful, affectionate, loves to be combed and is just a charmer, as you can see by her video. Stormy is fine with other easy-going cats, probably would be ok with a gentle dog and would enjoy respectful children. Adoption fee $150. FOSTERED IN RACINE, WI.

SMOKIE…is a handsome SEAL POINT SIAMESE. He is around 2 years old, weighs about 10 pounds and is neutered and has his claws.  Yes, you have seen Smokie here before and he was adopted out. However the adopters did not give him a chance to get used to the new household and then didn’t even know if they wanted a second cat so he came back (don’t ask us, we’re still trying to figure that one out).  At any rate, Smokie is back and looking for a PERMANENT home with folks who love and understand Siamese. He is an active, busy cat who is somewhat talkative and self-confident.  He gets along fine with other cats with slow introductions and would be ok with a dog. An adult household is preferred as he can be too much for small kids. Smokie can be seen during open hours at East Towne Pet Clinic in Madison, which generously donates space for us to show our cats. Adoption fee $150.

OWEN…is an elegant FLAME POINT RAGDOLL MIX. He is 4 years old, neutered and has his claws. Owen is a BIG boy at at least 11 pounds and he has a beautiful, medium-length silky coat in white tipped with gold and bright blue eyes. Owen was tacked on to a group of cats that came up to us from a Chicago shelter. He has proven himself to be a VERY nice boy indeed! He is wonderful with the other cats in his fostering environment and is easy-going, social and is the first out to meet and greet his foster mom (and he loves her boyfriend too so we know he’s great with men!).  He is moderately active but likes to spend a lot of his time flopped on his side on the cat tree watching birds and hoping to catch a tummy rub if he’s lucky! Owen would be a super cat for most families, though kids over 5 years would be best. A gentle dog that would not bark or chase him would be fine as well. Mixed breed adoption fee $100. FOSTERED IN GURNEE, IL.

CLEMENTINE…is a sweet BLUE POINT MITTED RAGDOLL. She is around 6 years old, spayed and 4 paw declawed and weighs around 8 pounds. Clemmy is a very nice little girl as you can see in her picture and in her video below. She has a silky, full coat that is not hard to keep groomed, cute little white “mittens” on her paws and of course the huge blue eyes.  Clemmy and her son (not yet listed) came into rescue when their elderly owner had to go into assisted living. They are used to a quiet, adult environment, though Clemmy has been doing very well in foster care with other cats  she doesn’t know. She is moderately active, affectionate and is a bit shy with new people and new situations, as to be expected. But she is very gentle and sweet once she settles in and would be a wonderful companion for a single person or mature couple. She would probably be ok with older kids but no small kids or dogs please. Adoption fee $200. FOSTERED IN KENOSHA, WI.

DIAMOND…is a petite SEAL POINT SIAMESE. She is 3 years old, spayed and has her claws. She weighs around 7 pounds and is a compact little bundle of silky chocolate, vanilla and caramel colors with blue eyes! Diamond has not had an easy life. She has been through six homes that we know of, and she was NOT at fault for any of the reasons she was dumped! Allergies, new baby, moving, you name it, she was passed from place to place with no real thought to the sensitivity of this breed and how all these changes and upheavals might affect her. By the time she wound up at a shelter in Milwaukee she was absolutely beside herself. She had quit eating and wouldn’t trust anyone because everyone had failed her. Fortunately she perked up with the gentle TLC at her foster home and is actually doing quite well now. She LOVES to be petted and doesn’t have an aggressive bone in her body. She is great with other cats. She is shy at first with new people but as she gains trust she is just wonderful. She is quiet and not talkative and really NEEDS A FOREVER HOME THIS TIME. The best family for her would be Siamese-experienced and love the breed. They would be stable, patient and have no small kids or loud dogs. If this sounds like you, DIAMOND NEEDS YOU! Adoption fee $150. FOSTERED IN RACINE, WI

MAX… is a DELIGHTFUL CHOCOLATE POINT SIAMESE KITTEN.  He is neutered9 months old and has his claws. He weighs around 7 pounds. This happy little man has incredibly VIBRANT blue eyes and of course is quite the character! Max came to us from a shelter in Indiana and was initially quite head-shy, as though he had been repeatedly hit in the face (sometimes we find this with cats that have been abused by small children).  He has done very well in foster care and has learned that hands can be kind and provide lots of good food as well! :)  Max is in a multi-pet foster home and does very well with other cats and gentle dogs that don’t bark or get in his face. He is playful, energetic, not really talkative and loves affection and attention. He would be a wonderful addition to an adult home or one with older respectful children (at least 10 years or older). Adoption fee $200. FOSTERED IN GURNEE, IL.

ADOPTED!

I went home to Esko, Minn.!

JAZZPURR…is a dashing FLAME POINT SIAMESE.  He is neutered, front declawed and just had a dental.  He is a handsome, larger- framed guy with brilliant burnt orange points weighing around 11 pounds, with a slick, tight coat and deep cobalt blue eyes that are almost black they are SO dark.  Jazz was adopted but did not do well with the other kitty.  His former family was absolutely heart broken to return him but when making the decision between him and the other new guy, they knew that Jazzpurr’s outgoing personality and adaptability would make it easier for him.   Originally Jazzpurr came from a humane society.  When we took him into rescue he had a mouth full of infected teeth and even worse,  ulcerated bleeding toes!  Our vets discovered that Jazz’s original declaw surgery was so botched that he had bone fragments left in all of his amputated toes! The fragments were ripping into his paw tissue and actually trying to regrow.  Jazz will turn 9 years old on July 26th.  For NINE years this guy endured excruciating pain.  The only thing we could do was to have our vet go in to remove the bone fragments to restore his comfort.   But, Jazz is such a trooper he has healed in fine fashion and hasn’t let this set back slow him down.  Jazzpurr loves people–no one is a stranger to this guy– the more the merrier.  He loves to be where you are, help with every task and then lounge all over you.  He is chatty, smart, active and ALL Siamese. He probably would be okay with a respectful dog and older children are great but NO OTHER CATS PLEASE.  This is one fabulous big boy!  Put the birthday cake in the oven and help this guy celebrate by giving him a new forever home.  The mature adoption fee of $80 applies FOSTERED IN OSHKOSH, WI.

DUST BUNNY…is a another wonderful BLUE POINT HIMALAYAN. He is around 6 years old,  neutered and front declawed and weighs around 9 pounds. He has a nice “doll” face and a full, medium-care coat and bright blue eyes. Bunny’s foster mom describes him as an “absolute angel of a cat.”  He is calm, easy-going and very loving.  He follows his foster mom from room to room hoping for some attention and just lives for a kind word or a stroke of a hand. Bunny gets along great with other pets and would be good with children (just more people to dote on him!). He would be a good companion kitty for another calm cat. Come get him before he’s gone!  Adoption fee $150. FOSTERED IN CARY, IL.

TANGERINE…is a handsome RED PERSIAN. He is around 3 years old, neutered and has his claws. He is a good sized boy at around 10 pounds and has a fairly easy full coat, nice “doll” face and bright gold eyes. Tangerine came from a local shelter where he had been abandoned by someone who had “no time for him.”  He has adapted well to foster care and really could use a Forever Home now! Tangerine has a big personality to go along with his size. He tends to be on the dominant side with other cats but he gets along fine with easy-going ones that just ignore him and don’t get in his face. He would probably be fine with a dog and older, respectful kids. He is an affectionate guy who enjoys being held and groomed and is pretty easy-going and adaptable. He would be a great “starter Persian” for someone new to the breed! Adoption fee $150. FOSTERED IN KENOSHA, WI.

DIVA…is a pretty SEAL POINT HIMALAYAN. She is 3 years old, spayed and has her claws.  She has a full, lush coat in chocolate and cream and bright blue eyes. Diva lives up exactly to her name. She is a princess  and she knows it and she wants everyone else to be aware of it too (we think she has watched too many Judy Garland movies and fancies herself an undiscovered movie star).  Her foster mom reports that she enjoys being pet and scratched, gives tiny kisses and loves to be brushed (always a plus!). But she will let you know when she is done and she likes her space respected. She is on the independent side and is not demanding, so she would be good in an apartment setting with someone who works long hours.  She is fine with other cats that will ignore her and not get in her face. Very timid or dominant cats would not be appropriate as Diva is very dominant and would not get along with them. She would probably be ok with dogs. No kids please.  We know there are people out there who have had little females like this and enjoy their personalities, so if you are one of those folks looking for a furry princess to serve, HERE SHE IS! Adoption fee $150. FOSTERED IN MADISON, WI.

KEONI…is a darling WHITE PERSIAN.  He is neutered, 3 years old and has his claws. This big boy is around 10 pounds and his thick coat is growing out of a lion cut. He has a flatter face (breathes fine) and bright gold eyes. Keoni came to us originally as a kitten from a breeder dump several years ago and was adopted out to a family. When a child in the family developed allergies, the owner, rather than contacting us for placement (as required by adoption contract), gave the cat away. When that person moved and decided she couldn’t keep the cat, she advertized him on Craig’s List (probably one of the WORST places any animal could be put up) and fortunately some animal advocates directed her back to us. We were horrified when we discovered his story! We never want out cats to be bounced around or put somewhere they might be abused or abandoned!  At any rate, this sweet feline is back with us and doing well in foster care. His foster mom describes him as, “Very sweet temperament…playful and friendly with a big purr and quite chatty! He is good with other cats and calm kids but is initially shy in new sitautions and with new people. He is extremely gentle and excellent about being groomed.”   Keoni needs a home that is familiar with and committed to the needs of his breed. He needs to have his eyes cleaned daily and his dense coat will need to be kept shaved regularly or brushed DAILY.  Adoption fee of $150FOSTERED IN MADISON, WI.

ISABELLE… is a lovely WHITE PERSIANShe is 7 years old, spayed and has her  claws.  She weighs around 8 pounds and has a medium-care, silky coat and bright gold eyes. Her left eye had a scratch on it a while back that is now completely healed but there is a bit of cloudiness on it as a result. That may disappear over time. Bella came from a family that loved and cared for her very much but due to her owner’s move out of state to non-pet-friendly corporate accommodations, Bella lost hers. She is a quiet kitty who is affectionate but not clingy and does fine keeping herself entertained. Moving from her home has been hard on her and she is still adjusting to foster care, but she will make someone looking for a demure little companion very happy. She is shy with new people and situations at first, but seems to do well with other cats, maybe a calm dog and respectful kids. Like all flat-faced cats she does need her eyes cleaned daily but is very good about it. A home familiar with the maintenance needs of this breed will be perferred.   Mature adoption fee $80. FOSTERED IN MADISON, WI.

WEDNESDAY… is a gorgeous SEAL POINT BALINESE. He is around 2 years old, neutered and has his claws. He has a silky-soft, easy coat in chocolate and caramel and of course the striking blue eyes! This slim, elegant gentleman is VERY energetic, VERY busy and always seems to be on the move! He is playful, somewhat talkative and would be a delight to those of you out there familiar with Siamese but wanting to try the medium-haired version. Wednesday is an intelligent, intense purrson who is social, outgoing and loves attention and affection. He gets along fine with other cats, cat-friendly dogs and would do best in an adult, Siamese-experienced home. Adoption fee $150. FOSTERED IN MADISON.

POUNCE (top) and BEASTIE…are two handsome boys! Pounce is a BLUE PERSIAN and Beastie is a BLUE POINT HIMALAYAN. Both are  neutered and front paw declawed and just had a dentals done.   Pounce is 10 yrs old (birthday this month) and weighs 9.5lbs.  His mother was a Minnesota Grand Champion.  He loves being pet and brushed.  He will roll on his back and actually enjoys a good belly rub.  He is even okay with a moderate amount of tummy brushing. He is a very easy going extrovert who adapts well to new situations. He has a thick fluffy coat and requires daily grooming. Beastie is 8 yrs old (birthday in February) and weighs 7.8lbs.  He is a little shy and likely to hide for an hour or two when coming into a new environment.  Once he has settled in, he seems the more dominant of the pair.  He loves being pet and held.  He is not at all shy about asking for attention, he cries and head buts and rolls around trying to solicit a good scritch.  His coat is very thick and silky and requires daily grooming.  These guys came to us after having been bounced through numerous homes where nobody really wanted them. Throughout all this stress, the only thing that seemed to keep them happy was each other. Though not related, they have been together their whole lives and their foster mom always finds them together snuggled and grooming each other’s faces. Beastie especially will stress and withdraw if separated from his friend so we are requiring this pair to go home together. Because of this we are offering them two for one adoption fee of $80.  The best home for them would be one experienced with the grooming needs of these breeds (both have full coats that need daily care) and have a quiet, loving place to be. Other easy-going older cats would be fine and they could probably tolerate a gentle dog. Older, respectful kids would be fine. FOSTERED IN MAZOMANIE, WI.
